Let Your Pants Keep You Cool

Untitled A lot of guys make the misconception that all suit (or dress pants) are the same.  They believe that these pants are always thick and itchy, which leads to men not dressing very well during the summer.  I’ve seen so many guys in shorts and sandals that it makes me sick!  Hot weather doesn’t give you an excuse to dress badly.  Sure you don’t have to wear a jacket or suit all the time, but pants are required in almost any situation. So in this post, I’m going to talk about a few pairs of pants that I love wearing in the summer because they look great and they’re freaking comfortable as hell.  Apparently men prefer comfort over style, so why can’t you have both?   Read More

Ethan’s Style Inspirations (Or Guys You Should Follow)

Untitled

As I’ve admitted many times before, I have not always dressed well.  In fact, it took me halfway into my first year at college for me to start wearing button up shirts (that didn’t fit).  What inspired me to dress well was looking at the guys on campus who looked like I wanted to look.  They walked around with confidence, each having their unique outfit that made them special.  I was jealous! I craved to the ability to look good and not just wear shorts and a tee everyday.  Eventually I realized that I should stop wanting to dress like them; I should just do it. Read More

What I Wish I Knew

Untitled
Look at the picture above.  Jeremiah, on the right, looks like how I dress now, and I look like a guy who has no idea what he’s doing.  I just slapped on some colors together with no regard to how it clashes or flows.  People assume that I’ve always been stylish and always knew how to dress up, but they’re dead wrong.  When I first came to college, I wore shorts and tee shirts and was a freshman who had no sense of identity and no sense of style.  Eventually I realized that since I’m in college, I can be who I want to be and dress how I want to dress.  It took a while, but I’m still not there yet.  I’m constantly trying new things, tailoring my clothes, and I’m in this journey of self discovery with my style.  However, there are a few things that I’ve learned since my freshman year that would’ve saved me so much time in being who I am.

Keeping It Sartorial In Summer

IMG_1999

It’s pretty much summer time here in SoCal!  And for most guys, that means resorting to a simple t-shirt and shorts.  Now there’s nothing wrong with that, but this weather doesn’t mean you have to only stick with that!  In this post, we’re gonna show you how to break out your blazers and suits and look cool and classy this summer!  I even wear the same shoes in each outfit to show just how diverse these shoes are.  Big thanks to Banana Republic for putting them on sale so I can buy them!

The Big Freakin’ Difference

Suit-Blazer-Tux
Just like there is a difference between types of shoes, types of Mexican food, and types of sexuality, there is a difference between a suit, a blazer, and a tuxedo.  And it’s mindblowingly simple.  With this knowledge, you’ll be able to know what type of clothes you need and you’ll be able to communicate what you want when you’re out shopping.

REVO 2015: “Thrifted Neckwear”

Untitled

This year, Rajesh and I decided to design our own line for REVO, our university’s annual fashion show for charity.  Because it’s already May, we focused our line on spring menswear!  We wanted to show people that what we create is wearable on a daily basis and isn’t restricted to just staying on the runway.  So in addition to styling our models we also created something so hipster and awesome:  our own unique line of neckties.
