Every year, La Sierra University hosts a Meet the Firms Night, an event where business and students get to interact and develop their networks. Unfortunately, people come to the event wearing the most basic corporate attire, students and businesses included. However, there were some individuals who stood out to me among the sea of boring black suits. Kudos to these guys for being able to look stylish and professional, as they handed out resumes for potential jobs or advertised their business to the people in attendance.

Every time I talk about fashion with someone, vintage clothes always come up. One of the questions I’m always asked is “Why do you wear such baggy pants?” People always assume that vintage trousers are baggy because they’re thinking of the zoot suit, which was popularized by cultural phenomena. Fall is supposed to be the time of year when the weather starts to cool down a bit, but that definitely wasn’t the case for this Dapper Day. Even though the temperature was almost 100 degrees on Dapper Day, park-goers still showed up in their classy clothes! Here, we look at some of the awesome menswear that we thought stood out to us!
Before airplanes and road trips took over America, the cruise was the premier vacation. These straw hats are guaranteed to keep the sun out of your face and help you look classy during these next hot months. But which one is right for you? Check out four of my favourite styles!
Continuing my series on educating, I’m going to talk about the vest. Thanks to hipsters and Indie bands, the vest has risen in popularity as of late and guys tend to prefer wearing it instead of the suit jacket or blazer. Now, there’s nothing wrong with vests, but you should learn how to wear it correctly in order to fully pull it off.
Here’s a short little post on something super important to do after buying a suit. Nothing is ever good “simply off the rack”. No matter if you got it at Goodwill, H&M, or a high end store, a suit will always need tailoring. Why? Because you’re not a mannequin, you’re you. You have a unique body type, so something that was mass produced will not automatically look good. For this post, we’re going to focus on the length of your pants.
