Colorful Vintage Style at Spring Dapper Day

Dapper Day is my version of Pitti Uomo; street style abounds! People are able to go around Disneyland and dress up in style, whether its vintage, vintage inspired, or modern! Since it is Spring, the guys and I decided to take our vintage style to the next level. Most people make the misconception that vintage clothes are all made of thick wools and are only available in muted, boring colors. However, the 1940’s were still stylin’ in hot weather! They had a variety of fabrics that were still breathable and and comfortable to wear and were especially light colored for spring and summer fashion! Our outfits for Spring Dapper Day give you real evidence that vintage suit style is still creative, fun, and colorful!

Don’t Wear a Tie on Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is this coming Weekend and it’s important to look good. Last time we explored the different outfits for different occasions. This year we’re going a little different. While we normally have a pro-tie stance, sometimes it’s best to go against the grain and ditch the tie. However, the lack of tie doesn’t give you an excuse to dress down! Suits have a bad rap. Menswear bloggers today are dedicated to making suits and formal wear look as casual as possible. For example, Dan Trepanier has an article on wearing Henley’s with your suit and HVRMINN wears Nike’s with his sharp DB’s. It seems that the suit (and its traditional accoutrements) has not shaken its pariah status among the masses. Don’t get me wrong; I’m all about dressing down a suit, but I’m still a standing fan of the classic suit worn. To my knowledge, there’s only a few men that can make wearing a suit look natural and easy, and I have the pleasure of featuring one of those masters. I present Chad Park from B&Tailor.

Tweed is Perfect for Fall

There’s nothing more fall than tweed! This past weekend, I was able to enjoy not only a dinner with my family but with my friends. My outfit for the family party was casual, but I was able to break out the old tweed suit for a dinner party hosted by my pals, Spencer and Jay.
