What We Wore This Week: Unexpected Pieces
Lately we’ve been focusing on some editorial content, like wearing a polo with a suit or wearing a double breasted suit. It’s time to take a short break from my mouthpiece and take a look at what the guys have been wearing lately! While a majority of the outfits on this blog are sartorially themed, each of us put our personality into each of our outfits. They might all involve trousers, dress shoes, and button-up shirts, but it’s the unexpected pieces that truly mark our personal style.

I am a firm believer that suits can be dressed down. As spring has officially started here in America, it’s time to bring those sartorial pieces down a notch so you can keep cool and look good! One great and often misunderstood piece to turn your suits casual is the polo shirt. It’s no longer just for academy uniforms or baggy business casual drones.

It seems like girls have all the fun when it comes to accessorizing. They get necklaces, earrings, piercings, belts, and bracelets. Old School Cool with Vintage Sweaters
Sweaters have been around for a long time. Today, guys mainly wear them two ways: as a replacement shirt (crew neck) or as a layering item for business casual (v-neck). Don’t get me wrong, sweaters are great! However, there is something about the styles and patterns of vintage sweaters that make them such an awesome piece for me. They go great with more formal clothes, to give you that smart, “vintage” look!

Valentine’s Day is this coming Weekend and it’s important to look good. Last time we explored the different outfits for different occasions. This year we’re going a little different. While we normally have a pro-tie stance, sometimes it’s best to go against the grain and ditch the tie. However, the lack of tie doesn’t give you an excuse to dress down! Branding Yourself at Meet the Firms
Every year, La Sierra University hosts a Meet the Firms Night, an event where business and students get to interact and develop their networks. Unfortunately, people come to the event wearing the most basic corporate attire, students and businesses included. However, there were some individuals who stood out to me among the sea of boring black suits. Kudos to these guys for being able to look stylish and professional, as they handed out resumes for potential jobs or advertised their business to the people in attendance.
